If your team runs on Asana, you already know how important it is to keep tasks organized. But tasks do not appear out of thin air. They come from customer feedback, bug reports, and feature requests. The Asana + FeatureOS integration closes that loop by connecting your feedback portal to your Asana workspace with full two-way sync.

Push feedback posts to Asana as tasks. Pull Asana tasks back into FeatureOS as posts. Keep statuses synchronized both ways. Your product and engineering teams stay aligned without duplicating effort.

Note: The FeatureOS x Asana integration is available in Take Flight and Fly High plans.

How to Connect Asana to FeatureOS

  1. Open your FeatureOS Admin Dashboard and go to Organization Settings > Integrations > Asana > Connect.
  2. Log into Asana, grant FeatureOS the required permissions, and click Allow.
  3. Choose the Asana workspace you want to use.
  4. You will be redirected back to FeatureOS with your configuration panel open.

Configuring Push, Pull, and Status Sync

Automatic Push to Asana: Posts get sent to Asana as tasks when their status changes. You can push immediately after submission, or wait until moderation approves the post.

Automatic Pull from Asana: When new tasks are created in Asana that match your conditions, FeatureOS automatically creates corresponding feedback posts. Handy for teams that start in Asana and want customer visibility in FeatureOS.

Status Sync Rules: Statuses flow both ways. Asana task updates can trigger FeatureOS post updates, and vice versa. You decide whether subscribers and voters should be notified about these changes.

Managing Feedback and Tasks Between Asana and FeatureOS

Pushing posts to Asana: Open a FeatureOS post, click push, edit the title and description, pick the project, section, tags, assignee, and even set a parent task. One task per post, linked back automatically.

Linking existing tasks: Already have an Asana task for that feature? Search by title or description and link multiple tasks and subtasks to a single FeatureOS post.

Pulling tasks into FeatureOS: When your pull rules match, new FeatureOS posts get created automatically from Asana tasks. These show Asana as the source, so you always know where they originated.

Unlinking: Click the unlink icon to remove associations. The Asana task stays intact.

What Asana + FeatureOS Does for Your Workflow

Product managers bridge customer feedback and task execution without manual copy-paste. Developers work in Asana with direct links to customer context. And the two-way sync means fewer manual status updates across the board.
