The Salesforce + FeatureOS integration connects these two perspectives by letting sales reps upvote or create feedback posts directly from Salesforce opportunities, with the deal value attached.

When multiple opportunities link to the same feature request, FeatureOS shows the combined revenue at stake. Your product team sees not just what customers want, but how much revenue depends on building it. That changes how you prioritize.

How to Connect Salesforce to FeatureOS

  1. In FeatureOS, go to Dashboard > Organization Settings > Integrations > Salesforce.
  2. Enter your Salesforce subdomain (e.g., for hndemo2-dev-ed.develop.lightning.force.com, the subdomain is hndemo2-dev-ed.develop).
  3. Click Connect and authorize FeatureOS in Salesforce.
  4. Install the Hellonext (FeatureOS) component in Salesforce. Choose Rename conflicting components if prompted.
  5. Configure sync settings:
    • Sync Contact Names keeps names in sync from Salesforce to FeatureOS.
    • Sync Accounts maps Salesforce account fields to FeatureOS customer attributes.
  6. Save.

Adding FeatureOS to Salesforce Opportunities

  1. In Salesforce, open an opportunity in the Sales Console.
  2. Click the Settings icon > Edit Page.
  3. Drag the Hellonext (FeatureOS) component into the opportunity view.
  4. Save.

Your sales team can now interact with FeatureOS from inside any opportunity.

How Sales Reps Use FeatureOS in Salesforce

Upvoting on behalf of prospects: Open the FeatureOS component inside an opportunity. Search for an existing post and upvote it. Select a contact from the linked account to cast the vote on their behalf.

Creating new posts: If no relevant post exists, click Create. Add a title, description, board, and submitter. The post is created in FeatureOS and linked to the Salesforce contact.

Private boards: For private boards, you can only create posts on behalf of board members who are also Salesforce contacts.

How Salesforce Revenue Data Flows to Product Teams

When a sales rep votes or creates a post from an opportunity, the contact gets added to FeatureOS as a customer record. Salesforce account fields sync to FeatureOS as customer attributes. Opportunity data like name, account, amount, and status sync to the FeatureOS post. When multiple opportunities link to the same post, the combined opportunity values show total revenue tied to that feature.

Your product team uses this data to prioritize features by business impact, not just vote count. A feature request with 10 votes but $500K in pipeline value looks very different from one with 100 votes and no revenue signal.
