Linear is fast. Really fast. Teams pick it because they want issue tracking that stays out of their way. The Linear + FeatureOS integration keeps that speed intact while adding something Linear does not have on its own: a direct line to customer feedback.

When a user submits a feature request in FeatureOS, you can push it straight to Linear as an issue. Pick the team, project, assignee, labels, and state. The issue gets created and linked back to the original post. Your developers work in Linear like they always do, but now they can see exactly which customers asked for a given feature and how many people voted for it.

How to Connect Linear to FeatureOS

  1. Go to Dashboard > Organization Settings > Integrations > Linear > Connect in FeatureOS.
  2. Log into your Linear account and authorize access.
  3. You will land back in FeatureOS with the connected workspace visible.

FeatureOS + Linear Sync Options

Automatic push: Set posts to push to Linear automatically when their status changes. You can trigger this immediately after submission, or only after moderation approval if you have that enabled.

Status sync rules: Even though posts flow from FeatureOS to Linear, status updates can flow both ways:

  • When any linked Linear issue changes status, update the FeatureOS post.
  • When all linked Linear issues reach a configured status, update the FeatureOS post. This matters when one request spawns multiple issues across teams.
  • When a FeatureOS post changes status, update linked Linear issues.

Pushing Feedback and Linking Issues in Linear

Push a post to Linear: From any FeatureOS post, click Push to Linear. Edit the title or description if needed, choose Team, Project, Assignee, Labels, and State, then push. One Linear issue per FeatureOS post.

Link existing issues: Already tracking that feature in Linear? Click Link Issue on the FeatureOS post and search by title or issue ID. You can link multiple Linear issues and sub-issues to a single post.

Remove links: Click the unlink icon to disconnect. The Linear issue stays intact.
