If your community lives on Discord, your feedback workflow should meet them there. The Discord + FeatureOS integration works both ways: notifications from FeatureOS flow into your server, and ideas from Discord conversations flow back into FeatureOS.

Someone drops a feature idea at 2 AM in your community server? Your team can turn it into a tracked FeatureOS post without anyone copy-pasting anything.

What the Discord + FeatureOS Integration Does

Notifications in your server: Every time someone submits feedback, upvotes a post, or a status gets updated in FeatureOS, your chosen Discord channel gets a message. You control exactly which boards and events trigger notifications.

Slash command for new posts: Type /hellonext in any Discord channel to create a FeatureOS post. Pick a board, fill in the title and description, and it goes live on your feedback portal.

Message-to-feedback conversion: See a user suggestion in Discord? Click More options on that message and convert it directly into a FeatureOS post. No copying, no switching tabs.

Team-wide awareness: Product managers, developers, support staff, everyone sees feedback flowing through channels they already watch. Nobody needs to log into FeatureOS separately to stay in the loop.

How to Connect Discord to FeatureOS

  1. In FeatureOS, go to Dashboard > Organization Settings > Integrations and click Connect for Discord.
  2. Select your Discord Server and click Continue.
  3. Grant the required permissions:
    • View Channels
    • Send Messages in Threads
    • Embed Links
    • Read Message History
  4. Back in FeatureOS, pick the Discord channel for notifications and select which boards and events to track.

If channel selection fails, check that the FeatureOS bot has the right permissions through Discord Server Settings > Roles > FeatureOS > Permissions.

Why Discord Communities Use FeatureOS

Live updates hit Discord the moment something happens in FeatureOS, so your team reacts faster. Community members can contribute feedback through slash commands or message conversion, lowering the barrier to participation. And configurable notifications mean the right people get alerted about the right feedback, not everything, just the stuff that matters to them.
